How we calculate this
- Both sides use annual list prices, shown per month. PURA's fee is the cheapest plan whose monthly review allowance covers the volume you set.
- PURA runs on your own AI provider keys, so model usage is a separate cost. We add it to PURA's side at about $0.20 per review: a mix of lighter and stronger models for a review of around 60k input and 6k output tokens.
- CodeRabbit is priced per developer per month, so team size drives that side of the comparison.
- Neither side includes negotiated discounts or the engineering time an AI review saves.
These are estimates, not a quote. Your bill depends on the models you choose and how many pull requests you review.

Questions about cost
Is PURA cheaper than CodeRabbit?+
It depends on your team size and review volume. PURA charges by reviews and CodeRabbit charges per developer, so the more developers you have for each pull request reviewed, the more you save with PURA. The calculator above shows where your team lands.
Does the PURA price include model usage?+
No. PURA runs on your own Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or OpenAI-compatible key, and your provider bills you directly at their price. PURA adds no markup. The calculator includes an estimate of that cost on PURA’s side.
What counts as a review?+
One pull request that PURA reviews. Drafts are never reviewed, and pull requests no agent picks up are not counted. Allowances reset on the 1st of each month.
What happens if we reach our review allowance?+
PURA pauses reviews until the next month instead of charging overage. You can move up a plan at any time, and budgets per team, author, repo and provider let you decide which reviews keep running.
How do we lower model costs?+
Choose the model for each kind of change. Send docs and dependency updates to a lighter model and keep your strongest model for auth, payments and core logic. Analytics show which teams, repos and models drive the cost.
Do we pay more as the team grows?+
